You can reach AnimPlayer’s online help using the top pull down menu, clicking Help / Help or by simply pressing the [F1] key. Some dialogs also provide a help button.
<- Please use the menu on the left to navigate through the help topics. |
AnimPlayer works with actions which is any command like [Play], [Stop] or [Set InPoint]. Each action can have three different help topics:
- Short-hint: a short basic description of the action together with an optional graphical icon.
- Long-hint: additional information of the action
- Keyboard-shortcut: the hotkey to quickly execute the action
There are also three different areas on AnimPlayer’s user interface
where these help topics are displayed.
- Menus: the main pull down, as well as several popup menus, display
the short-hint of the action and, if available, the keyboard-shortcut
- Tooltips: displays short-hint and keyboard-shortcut
- Infobar: displays short-hint and long-hint
|
The menus provide you with access to all actions available in AnimPlayer. The main-menu is always at the top of the user interface. There are also several popup-menus which can be reached with a right click.
All menus provide the short-hint, including the icon, of the action on the left and, if available, the keyboard-shortcut on the right. |
When moving the mouse over a user interface item, after a few moments a tooltip will appear by default displaying the short-hint and, if available, the (keyboard- shortcut) in round brackets.

You can turn off these tooltips in the Help main-menu by unchecking the Show tooltips item.
|
If visible, the Infobar at the bottom left of AnimPlayer displays the long-hint. Please note that the Infobar displays these hints in dialog boxes as well.
